Egyptian Fruit Bats, in store and ready now!  Please do your research before checking out.  They need to be housed in groups, the larger the better.  This is an established breeding colony!  Will only sell as a group of 6 only.  Sex will vary.  It will be a mix of males and females.  I will NOT sell just females, don’t ask.  You must have an appropriate walk-in enclosure!

General Information:  The Egyptian Fruit Bat comes from Africa, Middle East, Mediterranean, and the Indian Subcontinent.  They are small a small nocturnal mammal, with an average size of 5.9″ and a wingspan of 24″.  The average lifespan is only 8 – 10 years in the wild, but up to 22 years in captivity with proper care!

Diet: We feed a mixture of minced fruits, liquified greens and supplements.

Permit:  A free, class 3 permit is required for Florida residents.

Transport: Can’t pickup your pet?  Transport is available if needed.  However, these guys will require a more direct/private route to get them there faster.  Inquire @ (850)542-4410 for transport cost.

Pet Boarding: We do not charge a boarding fee for the first 7 days.  If you need more than 7 days to pickup such as if you are waiting for your permit, coordinating transport and waiting for the next available route, or planning a trip to pickup from out of state, etc., it’s just $100 for every week there after to help cover the cost of caring for your pet.

Notes: Bats are not a pet in the traditional sense.  They are strictly observational animals.  They require a large enclosure with ample room to fly.  They can not be housed alone or it will cause un-needed stress and possible death.  The larger the group, the better.  If you feel they are a good display animal and you can provide the proper husbandry, continue with checkout.
